FM27 Touch: New Features, New Possibilities

FM27 Touch returns across Apple devices, giving you a fresh foundation to write your footballing story.

Take charge of your next managerial challenge with upgrades to Recruitment, Match Preparation and Match Day, all brought together in a revamped interface.

Whether you’re continuing your journey from FM24 or FM26, or starting a new career, the road to glory starts here in FM27 Touch.

A new look, a smoother experience

For FM27 Touch on iPhone, the entire interface has received a redesign from the ground up, to make better use of space and navigation.

Across the game, new screen layouts and compositions make moving between menus feel more natural. Text and button sizes have been refined, while the Tactics menus and Match Experience screens have also been improved.

FM27 Touch on iPhone will feel fresh. You can navigate the game with greater ease and interact with what matters most.

For players on iPad, Mac and Apple TV, we’ve combined player feedback with internal reviews to refine navigation and deliver an experience tailored to each device.

A stronger approach to squad building

FM27 Touch brings an improved squad-building and recruitment experience, giving you the tools to assemble a team capable of challenging for silverware.

The Player Database, Player Recommendations, and Recruitment Focuses screens have all been redesigned to bring key information front and centre. Budgets are now easier to access, while streamlined interactions make navigation more intuitive for touch and controller inputs - everything you need to build your squad is within easy reach.

A new ‘Find Similar Players…’ option also makes it easier to identify alternatives when a star player moves on or it’s time to replace a veteran with the next generation of talent.

Once you’ve found your target, your backroom team will offer greater support during negotiations, providing live advice to help ensure your transfer offers are logical and reflect the market.

Every fixture, fully prepared

With your squad built, the key to success will be ensuring they’re suitably prepared for each fixture. With the introduction of Match Preparation messages this has never been easier, and you’ll have more opportunity to shape your individual players into a team of winners.

You can build out Match Preparation with up to 3 unique sessions, covering In Possession, Out of Possession, and Set Pieces. It’s a new level of depth you can add to your management responsibilities that will have a real effect on the outcome on match days.

Available to you whether you’re managing for domestic success or for international immortality, Match Preparation allows you to treat each upcoming fixture with a touch of individuality, ensuring that nothing is left to chance.

Details that make a difference

There’s plenty more to discover across FM27 Touch, with a range of improvements designed to make every part of your managerial journey more immersive.

The Match Engine has received an uplift in both visual fidelity and the flow of action on the pitch, bringing the drama of Match Day to life like never before.

You’ll have greater influence on the pitch, with new Tactical Tweaks implemented to allow you greater tactical flexibility without having to leave the action. Shouts have been markedly improved too, with more context given to your instructions and more emotive reaction from the players when you get your instructions across to them.

When the final whistle blows, you can dissect the performance through Pass and Heat Maps, giving you a better idea of what worked well (or not so well…)

Cup Draws return, adding another layer of immersion to your journey. The speed at which they’re conducted is customisable to your preferences, so you can race through the draw to find out your next opponent, or slow it down and savour the suspense.

And last but by no means least, for the first time in the Football Manager Touch series, Indonesian is now available as a playable language.

A bespoke interface, leveled up recruitment model, and new ways to prepare for fixtures all come together to elevate the Football Manager 27 Touch experience.

FM27 Touch remains true to itself while still incorporating the best new features that PC and Console versions have to offer. This gives you a quicker, yet still immersive way to enjoy your managerial journey.

Before blowing the final whistle on our feature blogs, we’ll be diving into FM27 Mobile to explore the new and refined features on offer, coming soon.
