Missing Manager Competition Terms & Conditions

These terms & conditions apply to the Missing Manager competition. Entrants have the opportunity to win a fully funded  UEFA C License Coaching Qualification with work experience at a Professional Women’s Football team. Further details of the Role are set out later in these terms & conditions. This competition is made possible by Microsoft with the help of our friends at Sky Sports Limited and SEGA Europe Limited (“SEGA”).

By taking part in the competition (the “Competition”) you (the “participant” or “you”) agree to be bound by these terms & conditions. Any information or instructions published by the Promoter about the Competition on the www.footballmanager.com/xbox-missing-managers form part of these terms and conditions. 

THE PROMOTER

The Promoter of the Competition is Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited (“Promoter”, “we” or “us”) and the Promoter shall not be liable for any interruption to this Competition whether due to force majeure or other factors beyond the Promoter’s control.

ENTRY ELIGIBILITY

ENTRY ELIGIBILITY
1.    The Competition is open to legal residents of Great Britain and Northern Ireland aged 18 or over only. Participants must specifically note that the Role requires the successful participants to attend the UEFA C license preparation coaching course with the location to be determined at a later date for 2 (two) full days provided by the Powerhouse Project. Participants are specifically asked to take this into consideration before entering the Competition. Further eligibility criteria are set out below in sections 10 to 16.

2.    In order to take part in the Competition, participants must have internet access, an Xbox account and Football Manager™ 26 (“FM26”) on console or PC.

3.    Employees or agents of the Promoter or any of their group companies, or their families or households or anyone professionally connected to this Competition are not eligible to enter.

4.     Entry is open exclusively to individuals who identify as female, including cisgender and transgender women, who are 18 years or over and who are residents of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

This competition is designed to promote and support the participation and recognition of women in football coaching. The restriction of entry to female participants is applied in accordance with the Equality Act 2010 as a proportionate means of achieving a legitimate aim.

The Promoter reserves the right to request reasonable proof of eligibility, including age, residency, and self-identification as female, for the purpose of confirming compliance with these Terms and Conditions. No intrusive or discriminatory requests for evidence will be made.

Employees, contractors, and immediate family members of anyone directly involved in the administration or judging of the competition are not eligible to enter.

By entering, participants confirm that they meet all eligibility criteria and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Entries found to be in breach of eligibility requirements may be disqualified at the Promoter’s discretion.

HOW TO ENTER & THE DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES 

Eligible entrants must follow the steps below: 

4. Entries will be accepted from November 16th 2025 at 9 AM GMT

5. The closing date for entries is on January 5th 2026 at 9 AM GMT. Entries received after this time will not be eligible for entry.

For applicants to be entered they must submit their applications via the following stages.

  1. Step one – Applicants have to complete the achievement ‘First Victory’ in Football Manager 2026 on Xbox (console Edition) or PC using their Xbox Gamertag, which is unlocked when a player wins their first match with a football team within the game.  
  2. Step Two – Applicants have to register on www.footballmanager.com/xbox-missing-managers with their Xbox Gamer Tag and fill in the form and contact details.

7. Your Xbox account settings for your entry must be set to “unprotected” or “public” to be eligible in order that we may verify completion of the “First Victory” achievement. If your account is private, your entry will NOT be       eligible; you must change the setting on your account from private to “public” or “unprotected.”  

8. Participants may only enter the Competition once. Duplicate entries will be void.

9. This Competition is only available to consumers (e.g., not to any business or reseller). Bulk entries made from trade, consumer groups or third parties will not be accepted.  If it becomes apparent that a participant is using a computer(s) to circumvent this condition by, for example, the use of ‘script’, ‘brute force’ or any other automated means, that person’s entries will be disqualified.

10. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for lost, delayed or damaged data which occurs during any communication or transmission of entries.

THE PRIZE – THE ROLE

11. The winners will be invited to complete the UEFA C License Preparation Coaching Qualification and attend the Powerhouse Project’s preparation course centres located nearest them for 2 (two) days. 

12. The qualification will include, and we will require from you, the following over a 6 (six) month period starting from 26thth January 2026:

  • Attend a Powerhouse Project venue to complete the UEFA C license preparation course.
  • Participants agree to actively engage in and contribute to the course, including participation in group discussions, group activities, and any collaborative elements as reasonably required by The Powerhouse Project facilitators. 
  • Physical Fitness Requirement: The prize consists of a coaching course that involves physical activity. Participation in the course requires a reasonable level of physical fitness. By accepting the prize, winners acknowledge that they are responsible for ensuring they are medically and physically capable of participating. The organizer reserves the right to require medical clearance or to deny participation if safety concerns arise.
  • Failure to participate meaningfully may result in forfeiture of the prize or exclusion from further course activities.
  • 13. The successful participant shall be engaged by The Powerhouse Project on terms that are reflected in these terms & conditions. A copy of the contract is set out in the Annex to these Terms and conditions. Taking up the Role is conditional upon the successful participant executing the employment contract in accordance with these terms & conditions. 

14. The successful participants will receive a fully funded UEFA C License Preparation course in February 2026.. Neither the Promoter nor any other party shall be liable for any other costs as may relate to the acceptance of the Role such as transport or accommodation.

SELECTION PROCESS

15. All correctly submitted and eligible ‘entries’ will be reviewed by The Powerhouse Project  who shall create a short list of no more than 20 participants who they wish to take forward to complete the course. The course will be arranged at a location near to the winners’ residence to be attended in person over 2 full days. The Powerhouse Project may be assisted by in its review of the entries by an independent 3rd party. Subsequent candidates shall be contacted no sooner than the week commencing w/c 19th January 2026. The winners will be selected upon completing the qualifying criteria in paragraph 1-4.  

16. The successful participants shall be contacted no later than January 26th 2026 by email or telephone provided by the participant at the time of entry and request to execute the employment contract. They will have 7 days from the date the correspondence was sent to them, to respond and confirm availability.

17. In the event that the successful participant is unreachable, ineligible, or fails to accept the opportunity in the time required they shall forfeit their right to the Role and the Promoter reserves the right to offer the Role  to another participant of the Competition. 

18. The Role is not transferable by any participant to another individual. The Role cannot be exchanged for any other ‘prize’.

19. By accepting the Role, the successful participant: 

a) agrees to be photographed and filmed by the Promoter (and/or relevant 3rd parties instructed by the Promoter) for the purposes of promoting the Competition and the Promoter’s brand and products;

b) agrees to participate in the Promoter’s other marketing and promotional activities;

c) warrants and represents that they have not committed or engaged in and shall not commit or engage in any act or omission that: (i) may discredit or be detrimental to the reputation of the Promoters, or any other party associated with this Competition; (ii) brings or may bring the Promoters, or any other party associated with this Competition or the Competition itself into public disrepute, contempt, scandal or ridicule or is likely to cause offence to the community; or (iii) may otherwise have a material adverse impact on the promotional value of the Competition;

d) warrants and represents that they have not at any time, created, published, shared or commented on, whether in any social media or in other content, or otherwise expressed a view in person that the Promoter, in its sole discretion, may consider would be likely to cause harm or offence on the grounds of age; disability; gender reassignment; marriage and civil partnership; pregnancy and maternity; race; religion or belief; sex; and sexual orientation.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

20. The Promoters shall have the right to use the successful participant’s name, image, voice, images and likeness for any purpose in relation to the Competition in any territory, in any media and in perpetuity. This includes the video captured via the production crew.  This includes self-filmed content by the successful participant, when relates to their experience and close proximity to The Powerhouse Project. 

DISQUALIFICATION

21. The Promoter reserves the right, at its absolute discretion, to disqualify participants who it considers have not complied with any of these terms and conditions; or any participant who it reasonably believes has interfered with the fair running of this Competition.

22. The Promoter shall have the right, where necessary, to undertake all such action as is reasonable to protect itself against fraudulent or invalid claims and entries including, without limitation, to require further verification as to the identity, age and other relevant details of a participant and before accepting a claim or entry as being valid.

PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION 

23. The Promoter will use any personal data submitted by the participant solely in accordance with the current data protection legislation applicable in your country of residence and in the country where the data controller is located and for the purpose of operating this Competition and for no other purpose. To that extent, the Promoter may share such personal data with third parties involved with this Competition. The Promoter will delete any personal data submitted by the participant after the end of the Competition, save where the Promoter is permitted to retain it in order to comply with applicable law. Entrants have the right to exercise their rights of access to, amendment to or deletion of their data and to oppose the processing of their data for marketing purposes by writing to: : smwx@xboxmarketing.com

Microsoft’s Privacy Statement located at https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkId=123161 will apply to this Contest and to all information that we receive from your entry.  

24. The Promoter reserves the right to publish or make available the surnames and county of residence of the successful participant, for the purpose of indicating that a valid award took place for this Competition. If you object to your information being published of made available for this purpose, please contact the Promoter using the contact details in the Promoter’s privacy policy (see above). In such circumstances the Promoter shall still be entitled to provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority (“ASA”) if required.

25. By entering this Competition, you consent to the processing of your personal data in accordance with these terms and conditions.

MISCELLANEOUS

26. All the Promoter’s decisions relating to this Competition are final and binding. No correspondence about the Competition will be entered into.  

27. All participants take part in the Competition at their own risk and to the fullest extent possible in law the Promoter accepts no liability with regard to entries and the ‘prize’ whatsoever.  The Promoter will have no liability in relation to the conduct of the successful participant, nor in connection with any circumstances outside its control with respect to the entries and the prize.  

28. The Promoter reserves the rights to vary these terms and conditions or cancel the Competition at any stage in the event of circumstances arising beyond its control.

29. By entering the Competition, participants will be deemed to be bound by and have accepted these terms and conditions. Failure to comply with these terms and conditions may result in disqualification from the Competition.

JURISDICTION/APPLICABLE LAW

30. This Competition will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. By participating the participants agree that any and all disputes regarding this Competition will be subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.

TRANSFER AND LIMITATION OF RESPONSIBILITY

31. Upon conclusion of the Competition and the formal announcement of the Winners, all responsibilities, obligations and liabilities in relation to the administration, management, fulfilment and delivery of any Prizes, rewards or associated activities shall transfer in full from Microsoft Corporation (trading as Xbox), Sky UK Limited and SEGA Europe Limited (together, the “Initial Sponsors”) to The Powerhouse Project. From the date of such transfer, The Powerhouse Project shall assume sole responsibility for the administration, fulfilment and ongoing management of all Prizes and any related communications, obligations or disputes. The Initial Sponsors shall, to the fullest extent permitted by law, be released and discharged from any and all further responsibility or liability (whether arising in contract, tort, statute or otherwise) in connection with the Competition, the selection of Winners, or the fulfilment or delivery of any Prizes thereafter.
