Every career in FM26 Mobile begins with a revamped game startup flow that includes the ability to carry over saves from FM24 Mobile – allowing you to build on past triumphs while unlocking fresh features and opportunities. Your story doesn't reset; it evolves.

If you do decide to start a brand-new story, picking your club now comes at the beginning of the startup flow. Once you’ve made your decision, the game will suggest a recommended save setup of nations and leagues based on your choice, allowing you to make a faster move right into the managerial hotseat. 

You can make changes to that recommendation to suit your preferences, ensuring you’re making the most of the fully-licensed Premier League or potentially adding in the Swedish men’s first division, a new playable league for this year.

As you go through the flow you’ll notice that every screen has been redesigned to level up your onboarding and user experience. These changes were also made with the wider range of languages available in this year’s edition in mind, with Thai and Indonesian integrated for the first time.

Introducing Women’s Football

When going through the startup flow, you’ll discover more playable leagues and clubs thanks to the introduction of Women’s Football. 

Explore fresh rivalries, identify new talent and redefine what success looks like as you compete in 13 playable women’s leagues across 10 nations that seamlessly join the men’s game in one ecosystem.

How you build your game world is up to you. You’re able to load just men’s leagues, just women's leagues or a mixture of both across your five loadable nations in-game. Note that selecting the men’s and women’s leagues from the same nation will account for two of your five nations, rather than just one. 

You’ll be able to switch easily between managing men’s and women’s teams, and vice-versa, in every career and as a manager of a women’s team you will notice that real-world differences in contract lengths, transfers and match gameplay have been reflected. 

Level up your Match Preparation

Wherever you begin your life in the dugout, you’ll discover more features at your disposal that increase your immersion and give you greater control over your team’s fortunes. 

One of these areas is a new training module that allows you to create specific training priorities for individual matches. Your backroom team will offer feedback on your Match Preparation options, highlighting that the different effects and temporary Attribute boosts or decreases each option will have on your players.

Training Reports are now more detailed, covering your form, medical updates and feedback from both your coaches and team leaders. With more control and insight, you’re better equipped to push your team to the next level in pursuit of those all-important victories.

New Tactical Tools

Alongside more options on the training field come new tools for you to express your tactical vision.

The range of tactical styles available to you has been expanded, with a new Low Block option giving you more choice for those games where you need to stifle stronger opposition and look to cause an upset. 

There are two new player roles too, with the Inverted Full-Back and Wide Centre-Back giving you more options for fine-tuning your team’s shape and structure for every challenge.

Deeper detail on Finances

Adding more depth and immersion to long-term saves, we’ve levelled up in-game finances under-the-hood for FM26 Mobile with more features and details for club finances, transfers and contracts.  

Fans around the world have become much more familiar with football’s financial regulations in recent years, with some clubs having to sell players in order to balance the books or become subject to transfer embargoes. 

All of this drama is now present in FM26 Mobile – with breaches of these new in-built regulations having wide-ranging implications to everything from transfer and wage budgets through to fines and points deductions. These consequences for financial mismanagement will also affect player happiness and will potentially lead to you being able to pick up transfer bargains from overspending clubs that need to raise money quickly.   

Of course, those consequences can apply to your team too, so you’ll need to navigate the transfer market intelligently to keep your budgets in check while also keeping your board happy with results on the pitch.  

Levelling up your Affiliates

Reviewing your feedback is key to our feature development and it’s your input that has led to a change in how Affiliate clubs now work.

Previously, when you wanted a new Affiliate, you had three options to choose from. Now, you’re able to make your own suggestions alongside the board’s recommendations and directly approach a club, who will evaluate the request and make a decision. 

This feature will become active after two years in the dugout at a club, opening up a new world of possibilities for you to make the full use of the affiliate loan system to drive your club forward. 

As manager, there are many more interaction improvements ready for you to discover in every career, from developments within your club to retaining your team selection and tactics when you go on holiday.

You can take greater control of your own career by negotiating to leave a club at the end of the season - perfect for when you want to see what other opportunities might be available. 

Your staff are upgraded too, with new loan options and smarter support from your Assistant Manager helping you to develop your young players more effectively. 

You also now have the opportunity to have your team featured in a behind-the-scenes documentary on your upcoming season – and it’ll be up to you to navigate the benefits to the club in terms of exposure and profile-building and how your players might feel about both their time on camera and privacy at the club. 

Take on the challenge of International Management

That’s not all. As FM26 Mobile is still developed in our own proprietary engine rather than Unity, it's the only title in this year's series to launch with National Team management day one - and does so with a range of improvements and new gameplay mechanics that give you a more in-depth and realistic experience. 

The first headline new addition you’ll discover is the introduction of a new dedicated game mode for coaching national teams, International Challenge. 

International Challenge allows you to pick any team that’s qualified for a major tournament and take them over on the eve of the FIFA World Cup 26™ held in Canada, Mexico and USA.

It’s up to you to guide them to glory – if you do well, you’ll be invited to stay in the role after the tournament.

Whether you taste success with your nation or not, you’ll notice during your time in the dugout much more strategic depth to International Management in FM26 Mobile. 

There are a range of new media and player-based storylines for you to navigate. Whether you’re the tournament favourites or one of your star players is underperforming, navigating those narratives and putting your people-management skills to the test are all part of the challenge. 

As a national team manager in FM26 Mobile you’re also now able to speak to your international players directly. You can try to persuade a player to declare for your nation, encourage them to seek a move to a bigger club to stay in your plans, praise a player for a fantastic performance and much more besides. Your players will respond appropriately, developing deeper relationships as your save progresses. 

You can now also set and plan your own training schedules for international matches and tournaments, allowing you to ensure your team is prepared in the best way possible for every big fixture. 

Work on those training schedules will be supported by your coaches, as in FM26 Mobile you can hire your own backroom staff across Coaching, Scouting and Medical to help with day-to-day tasks. These staff will help with match preparation and give you more key feedback on international team matters while also allowing you to delegate. They’ll also help with finding talents for your national pool – another new addition for FM26 Mobile.
