Before you fire up the game, you’ll need to work out where you’ll be starting off. To help you, we’ve picked out 10 One-Season Challenges for FM24 Touch on Apple Arcade that give you something immediate to aim for and the platform to create your own footballing story.

10 One-Season Challenges for FM24 Touch on Apple Arcade

Borussia Dortmund

Challenge: Win a first Bundesliga title in 12 years

Borussia Dortmund have been Bundesliga contenders for more than a decade, developing a reputation for playing exciting football and helping some of the game’s biggest stars to take the next step in their careers.

They were right in the mix last season but their campaign ultimately ended in disappointment on the final day as they finished second to FC Bayern München.

Your task in FM24 Touch is to go all the way to the Bundesliga title, a first since 2012. To do so, you’ll need to combine the experience of Marco Reus and Mats Hummels with the energy of top prospects like Youssoufa Moukoko, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens and Julien Duranville. You’ll also have to fight back the challenge of a resurgent Bayer 04 Leverkusen under Xabi Alonso, reigning champions FC Bayern München and RB Leipzig.

Borussia Dortmund

Venezia FC

Challenge: Secure promotion back to the Italian top-flight

From one promotion-chasing team to another in the form of Italian club Venezia FC.

The Venice club have continued their strong second half of the 2022/23 season into this campaign and at the time of writing are firmly in the race for a return to Serie A.

Venezia are a treat to manage in FM24 Touch, and not just because of their iconic kits. They have a very strong squad for the level, with Joel Pohjanpalo and Christian Gytkjaer banging in the goals up front and American duo Gianluca Busio and Tanner Tessmann offering midfield creativity.

Venezia CF

FC Dallas

Challenge: Claim a first MLS Cup title

One of MLS’ founding members, one of FC Dallas’ greatest strengths over the last 28 years has been the development of young talent.

The latest jewel in the Texans’ crown is diminutive Argentine forward Alan Velasco, who has one of MLS’ highest Potential Ability ratings in FM24 Touch.

When you take over at Toyota Stadium, you’ll face plenty of transfer interest in Velasco but if you can hold on to him, he’ll be central to your hopes of success. Make him the star of a squad that also includes veteran defender Omar Gonzalez, Spanish midfielder Asier Illarramendi and current US national team striker Jesús Ferreira and you’ll be contenders for a first Supporters’ Shield in eight years and a maiden MLS Cup.

FC Dallas

Peterborough United

Challenge: Win Sky Bet League One

Peterborough United have been promoted from Sky Bet League One three times in the 21st century but never as champions. It’s time for you to change that.

The Posh squad is packed with a number of players in their early 20s that were given first-team opportunities at a young age and are now maturing into quality EFL talents. There’s experience too in the form of new goalkeeper Jed Steer and striker Jonson Clarke-Harris.

Find a tactical approach that gets the best out of Peterborough’s stars and you should have no problem ending that wait for a third-tier title and returning to the Sky Bet Championship. If you can win the Bristol Street Motors Trophy, 10 years on from Peterborough winning the competition for the first time, your first season at London Road will be all the sweeter.

Stade Brestois 29

Challenge: Finish the season in a European qualification spot

The 2023/24 season has been simply sensational for Stade Brestois 29, who’ve defied all expectations to put themselves firmly in the mix for UEFA Champions League qualification.

Key to their success has been an impressive defence, one of the league’s strongest, and clinical finishing in the final third from key men Steve Mounie, Mahdi Camara and Kamory Doumbia.

Can you take over the reins at Stade Francis-Le Blé and deliver similar success, finding the right tactical formula to end the season in a European qualification place?

Manchester City

Challenge: Win a fourth straight top-division title

How do you improve on winning an unprecedented treble and being recognised as the best club side in world football? Well, you try and make more history.

No team has ever won four consecutive English top-flight titles. A few have got close, winning three and then finishing second in their bid for four, but it’s a mountain that’s yet to be climbed.

While it will be a challenge, particularly with some of your rivals being stronger this season, City’s superstar squad is well-equipped. Behind the prolific Erling Haaland you’ve got the creative talents of Kevin De Bruyne, Phil Foden and Jérémy Doku

Bring a fourth straight league title to the Etihad Stadium and you’ll have put your name in the history books. From there, you can continue creating your legacy or have your pick of any top job in world football.

Dynamics

1. FC Köln

Challenge: Avoid relegation from the Bundesliga

Much like Stade Brestois listed above, 1. FC Köln are currently in their fifth consecutive top-flight campaign. It’s a very different story for Effzeh though, who are currently battling hard to avoid relegation back to Bundesliga 2.

1. FC Köln have got a good squad, led by Austrian midfielder Florian Kainz, but their issue this season has been goals – they were the least prolific team in the Bundesliga through the first 23 games with only 16 goals.

Your immediate goal for a career at the RheinEnergieSTADION is helping them to find the back of the net more often, which should turn narrow losses into draws and help you record a safe mid-table finish.

Incheon United

Challenge: Finish the K League 1 season in the top three positions

Incheon United were one of the most-improved K League 1 sides in the recent Main Data Update, with striker Stefan Mugoša and goalkeeper Min Seong-Jun significantly upgraded.

They, alongside the likes of African attackers Paul-Jose M’Poku and Gerso Fernandes, form part of a quality side that finished fifth domestically last season and made progress in the Asian Champions League for the first time in their history.

Your task in FM24 Touch is to continue that positive momentum, pushing into the top three and aiming to match their best-ever finish of second from back in 2005.

FC Midtjylland

Challenge: Win the Danish Superliga

Over the past decade, FC Midtjylland have been one of the dominant forces in Danish football. Their first Danish Superliga title came in 2015 and since then they’ve been crowned champions twice more in addition to recording three second-place finishes in 2019, 2021 and 2022.

‘The Wolves’ endured a drop-off in performance last season, finishing seventh – their worst performance in more than 15 years. The task for you is to get them back to the top of the table in your first campaign.

FC Midtjylland have a great, diverse squad, with players from Europe, Asia, Africa and South America. Former Brentford players Mads Bech Sorensen and Henrik Dalsgaard offer solidity in defence, while promising young forward Aral Simsir and South Korea international Cho Gue-Sung will lead the line.

Cho Gue-Sung

Aberdeen FC

Challenge: Win a first domestic cup competition in 10 years

In real life, it’s been an up-and-down season for Aberdeen but in FM24 Touch, you can step into the Pittodrie dugout and start from scratch. We think that means that you can deliver something special for the Dons fans.

In Bojan Miovski and Duk, Aberdeen have two of the cinch Premiership’s most effective strikers and forming a good partnership between them will be key to your success.

Breaking the Glasgow duopoly at the top of the table is too much to ask in your first season but there’s no reason why you can’t aim for a top four finish after a good battle with Edinburgh giants Hearts and Hibernian.

The real achievable goal, however, is winning Aberdeen’s first domestic cup since 2014. You’ll have two chances to do it in the Viaplay Cup and Scottish Cup - with some favourable draws, you could create moments to remember at Hampden Park.

Aberdeen FC

Whether you’re taking an established giant to new heights or building team spirit in a battle against relegation, these 10 one season challenges should give you great inspiration for your next FM24 Touch career. Once you’ve achieved the initial mission, the possibilities for the rest of your save are almost endless.
