We sat down with our friends from @FB_Whispers to talk all things FM. It didn't take long to work out that they're genuine, die-hard fans of the game with some of the nerdiest answers to date.

It’s been another rollercoaster EFL season across each hectic division with teams either battling for promotion or scrapping to avoid the drop. With the season now at a close, it’s time to put yourself into the hot seat to see if you can do better than these EFL clubs this summer. 

It’s easy to start at the top of the game and stay there… but working your way up through the leagues on a limited budget? That’s what it’s all about. We've asked our friends at 90min to profile seven of the most intriguing challenges in the English Football League.

This week's Wednesday Wisdom comes courtesy of @FMSamo who has created a guide for the 3-5-2 formation. Here, he covers the main points you need to consider in the system while stressing the importance of finding the right players and attributes to fill those roles.

Four games, games more like cup finals, games with so much importance, this is what we play Football Manager for. We have breathing space in the league, but things can change quickly we can’t be complacent or naive. 

We left off after a disappointing draw at home to Udinese, the second draw in just five games. Luckily for us, Juventus have been stumbling too, dropping points both at home and on the road.

We finished off last time round with a draw at home to Torino, a game we really should have won. Luckily for us, Juventus dropped points on that very same match-day, keeping us a point ahead at the top. We’re still pinching ourselves.

March brings another set of tricky fixtures as the season ticks on with Juve and Inter breathing down our necks; it feels odd to be the team setting the pace now.

We finished part four with routine wins in back-to-back games that helped us forget about Derby Day heartbreak. Sitting a point off the top is frustrating, but it’s still a great achievement considering the tough start we endured.

Here we are then, part four of our Roma Let's Play and it's January transfer window time which gives us the chance to bring a new face into the squad. 

Let's jump straight into the action where we're trying to decide exactly what to do with our squad and budget in the transfer window.

We’ve had some ups and downs already in this series, from the euphoria of winning our first match to dropping points in the following back-to-back games.

Part two saw us arrest that form with crucial wins over Inter, Milan and most importantly Fiorentina who we’re battling with for the second spot. Lorenzo Pellegrini is quickly establishing himself as the first name on the team sheet and a game against leaders Juventus is on the horizon. This episode is going to be massive.
